Our girls and boys high school soccer teams have started their Champions Cup games strong, with both teams winning their first 2 games. The girls recorded a 1-0 win against Mercy College, as well as coming from behind to beat Balcatta SHS 5-2. Our boys had similar results, scraping past Mercy College in the first game 1-0, and winning convincingly against Shenton College 7-1 (with Joel Anasmo cleaning everything up in defence, and both James Tshilumba and Toban Higgins both scoring hat tricks, with Jordan Manuel also scoring from inside the box).
Both teams showed an excellent attitude towards their team mates and opposition, and were both humble despite some of the overwhelming results. Our next fixture is when Churchlands visit us next Monday on the 28th of May to play our junior boys.
